Project 366 2020 – WEEK 13

Bismillah Hir Rahman Ir Raheem

Peace and blessings be upon you all

Sunday, 22nd March

I’m spending a lazy day of quarantine at home with a cup of green tea.

Monday, 23rd March

I’ve recently finished reading Hoax Sociology and its Philosophy by Muhammad Haseem Ijaz. I liked it. It was very informative and thought-provoking but the information became too much and it was a bit imposing. I’ve started reading God of Small Things by Arundhati Roy as I’ve heard good reviews of it. It seems good so far but the story is quite haphazard. Hopefully it turns out to be great. Here’s a quote mentioned at the start of this book. Have you read it? What did you think of it?

Tuesday, 24th March

Today was my first online class on Google Classroom. Our instructors didn’t want our studying to be delayed so they have started conducting these classes. They take place on weekdays 10:30 am onwards. Today we learnt about the thyroid gland whose, anatomy, physiology and synthesis is very interesting. However, there are always students in such classes that turn on their microphone just to cough into it and add random comments in the chat box.

Wednesday, 25th March

Here I am enjoying a day in quarantine with a meal made by Mother dearest; steak alongside a white sauce and a barbecue-like sauce.

Thursday, 26th March

I enjoyed another day in quarantine with a meal made by Mother dearest and my sibling. It’s lasagna with garlic bread, fried fish and honey mustard sauce.

Friday, 27th March

I was studying physiology of thyroid hormones. The physiology coursebook, by Guyton and Hall, from which we study is very annoying. At one place, it copied an entire paragraph and pasted it right after that paragraph. It expounds on a single sentence so much it becomes very annoying and more confusing. Sometimes Guyton and Hall are proud of this fact, as they mentioned in the passage above.

Saturday, 28th March

Here is today’s current update on Corona Virus cases in Pakistan.

Just be thankful you don’t live in the country with the most active cases and growing every day because our idiot in charge dismantled the global pandemic task force the previous President had in place, and or initially thought the pandemic was an orchestrated hoax to make him look bad. Also, your food always looks sooooo good !

Cases are growing here but true, our Prime Minister took it more seriously than Trump has. Very stupid thing of Trump to do and say and it will get back at him & unfortunately the Americans. A relative of mine lives in Pennsylvania who told me about the situation there. Stay safe, Matt! Thank you for the compliment 😁

I tried green tea once but just didn’t like it!

Glad your instructors are holding online classes and not letting your studies suffer more than necessary!

Your mums food looks so good masha’Allah

It is interesting how other countries are dealing with Coronovirus. My girls have done a lot of online learning this past week. I am quite enjoying being home too.
That is rubbish you are finding your study books annoying.
I think we are at over 1000 deaths here in the UK and have 17k confirmed cases. The Queens son and our Prime minister has it. It just goes to prove no one is safe from it.

It sounds like the coronavirus cases there are quite a bit lower than they are here. I hope the measures to slow them down are working. It looks like you are being well fed in quarantine! It’s good that you are able to continue your studies, even though you are stuck at home.

Looks like your mum is keeping you well fed and glad you are managing to continue with your studies thanks to Google classroom. Looking at your textbooks takes me back to my uni days when I was studying biomedical sciences. I think I’ve forgotten most of it now though! #project366

The virus is hitting the whole world hard, so so scary to be following.
Seems by my eating a strange combination to have fish with lasagne, is it a good combo? Great that your mum is looking after you so well. at least the online classes are allowing you to study. I wonder if when all this is over online classes will become the norm.

Looks like you have been eating very well in quarantine!
Glad that your classes are still able to go a head. We have not got google classroom at our school but I can imagine its quite interesting.
Your numbers are low in comparison to ours, I really hope they stay that way

I was surprised to see how your advice differs to ours. We are working on 2 metres not 1 metre distance. Sounds like you are making the most of the time at home. My son is using Google classroom too for his school work.
