Project 365 2019 – WEEK 37

Bismillah Hir Rahman Ir Raheem

Peace and blessings be upon you all

Sunday, 8th September

We took my dog for her regular vaccination to Dr Rana’s clinic. They’ve got quite a neat setting of the clinic. My dog surprisingly didn’t shake and squeal when she got her injection. My brave girl.

Monday, 9th September

She found this bone in the dustbin a few days ago and she still hasn’t eaten it. She discards it but whenever I throw it to her, she sprints after it and chews it like there’s no tomorrow…just before she discards it again.

Tuesday, 10th September

There’s nothing like a fresh dose of fruit salad to soothe my stomach while I’m trying to understand vectorial analysis of ECG.

Wednesday, 11th September

This is my dog’s fancy leash. The strap goes around both her legs and connects to her back. It’s better than the one with a collar because she tends to stop too many time to smell the grass and pee/poop so her windpipe could get injured if I kept on pulling her. This strap is more convenient for her and for me, as I get more control on her.

Thursday, 12th September

I watched Hugo a couple of years ago and it was on today. Stories about sweet, innocent yet adventurous kids trying to understand the world and their purpose in it always tends to soothe me. Thus, I love this movie!

Friday, 13th September

I learnt how to perform an ECG!! It was very exciting! You put gel on 12 locations on the body where you have to attach the 12 electrodes; right arm, left arm, right leg, left leg and 6 electrodes attached in an order to the left of the sternum (except one).

I had learnt all about ECGs this week and I can now finally interpret it. We have to analyze the ECG based on its rhythm, rate, axis and whether there is abnormal potential difference or not to check for abnormalities. We then have to label each segment and interval of the ECG because there is always something going on in the heart, even when it is relaxed.

Saturday, 14th September

Only in Monty Python and the Holy Grail can an amputated person call for a draw.
