BUBBLE 46 – YOU MATTER

Peace and blessings be upon you all

You matter,
Even if the stars and planets lights years away can’t feel your embrace,
You matter

Even when you work hard till your bones ache,
yet gratitude doesn’t wish to pay a visit,
You matter

When others try to tune down your sparkle because they could never embrace their own glitter,
taking you to their hiding spot named ignorance,
You matter

When every step resonating on the ground returns to tell tales of your misdeeds,
You matter

When you feel trapped by sin’s leash around your neck, guiding you to unpredictability and wrong,
as your reckless past engulfs you; the future reaches out to you in desperation,
living and breathing in the present in the shadows of your intentions,
You matter

as you speculate about yourself on the sea of doubt, shivering as the waves of confusion and surrender sweep you away,
wondering which angels are worthy of second chances,
You matter

Even if the fortress in your mind is crashing down upon you, depriving you of your ability to belief that you’re smart,
that you’re important,
that you’re cared and loved,
that what you do matters,
You matter

When you feel forgiveness vowed never to fall for your pleas and you wander into every corner and space,
cursing yourself for having to rely on magnifying glasses and telescopes to find something that should’ve always been nearby,
You matter

As life becomes a whirlpool, swirling you into its intoxicating demands and instead of resolving them, your body leaves scars of a battlefield,
You matter

When you walk alone, sing alone, suffer alone, pray alone, win alone,
You matter

As you take something you should’ve returned, speak the words you reach out to grab before they spread, hurt someone whose scars will always stay fresh,
You matter

When you look in the mirror as disgrace stares viciously at you,
You matter

When people throw the most vibrant, velvet roses at you while taking care of sharpening the thorns
the thorns that exclaim, “You don’t matter”,
You matter,

You matter,
especially if you believe you don’t,

because you are cared for and loved,
because you were not created without purpose
