Project 366 2020 – WEEK 49

Bismillah Hir Rahman Ir Raheem

Peace and blessings be upon you all

Sunday, 29th November

Since my exams have been delayed, I have been able to pursue my literary endeavor; reading Jannat Kai Pattay by Nimra Ahmed. The story is interesting with dashes of suspense and curiosity here and there but I seriously pity the protagonist in this story. Too much going on in her life………

Monday, 30th November

Episode Four of His Dark Materials has been released! It released on Sunday in the UK but by the time it’s been released, it becomes Monday in my time-zone. The story has picked up the pace and I am finally involved in the story rather than being a distant spectator, if you know what I mean.

I’ve also started watching The Queen’s Gambit. I’ve seen it till the second episode and it’s very cool and interesting. I didn’t know there were specific maneuvers with specific names in Chess. Considering how completely randomly I play Chess, it was a shocker to me.

Tuesday, 1st December

Here’s a click from Islamabad Express Highway.

Wednesday, 2nd December

Enroute to Islamabad today. I tried to take a picture of the hill beside Kallar Kahar but it looks so far away here and the Sun seems to have taken the glory.

Thursday, 3rd December

Enjoying some delicious, juicy and sweet Musammi (sweet lemons). Terrible picture quality but not like it would’ve shown how tasty they were.

Friday, 4th December

We spent the whole day out and were dying for food so we went to our favorite Awesamosas. I enjoyed some Butter Chicken Samosas with Panni Purri and Gol Gappas, Karak chai and I tried out a Candi Lotus Samosa for dessert. Tasty, but not as delicious as Apple Pie Samosa.

Saturday, 5th December

Surveying some wedding clothes in Lahore as I’m currently living in wedding season. Here’s a formal outfit from Akbar Aslam.

Butter chicken samosas sound amazing! I’d love a portion or two of those if I had been out all day too! I reckon I would love the Musammi, I love anything lemon related! I hope you are enjoying and making the most of your free time now college is closed! Sim x

We have still not watched hid dark materials, really need to have a look at that. The wedding outfit is beautiful – did you buy it? Not heard of sweet lemons before but I do always opt for a lemon dessert so should try them.

Lots of interesting foodie mentions this week. I was drooling at Butter Chicken Samosas but then you mentioned Apple Pie Samosas – oooh they sound delicious ! I’m intrigued by sweet lemons – are they sweet-sweet or bitter-sweet? I’ve heard of His Dark Materials but have yet to watch it – maybe I should give it a go 🙂
