Project 366 2020 – WEEK 41

Bismillah Hir Rahman Ir Raheem

Peace and blessings be upon you all

Sunday, 4th October

Studies are still ongoing! Here is an MRI of the lateral side of a person, showing the vertebral column with IV discs between two bodies of vertebraes, the spinous processes from the vertebrae and the spinal cord, etc.

Monday, 5th October

Just cruising for a bruising…………actually just cruising for some window shopping. Here’s a click of the Margalla Hills and Faisal Masjid along the 7th/Faisal Avenue.

Tuesday, 6th October

I only have classes at college on Monday, Wednesday and Friday so today I was free to chill at home. However, I’ve been home alone a little too often so I felt like going out with my parents while they did their errands. Once we were done, It was 5pm and I was starving so we stopped for a while to get a shawarma which I’ve been told is just a desi twist to the authentic Arabian shawarma.

Wednesday, 7th October

Do you want to know what your brain rests on and what the inside of your skull looks like? Here you go! It is made up of multiple bones joined together by fibrous joints and has a lot of grooves, ridges, elevations, prominences and holes or foraminas through which various vessels and nerves pass through.

Thursday, 8th October

The wedding season has commenced!! The wedding halls have been allowed to open since 15th September so all the pending marriages of close relatives and friends of this year are about to take place. Here’s a click of an informal pre-wedding celebration called a Dholki. As always, I maintain anonymity so here’s a picture of a table on which dessert was served.

Friday, 9th October

I got my Henna/Mehndi applied on the back of my left hand on another Dholki tonight. I usually don’t have it applied on both my hands and I have to eat and the Mehndi often doesn’t dry up quickly. In addition, people have started adding chemicals into the Mehndi so that it gives a nice dark colour which can be quite dangerous. However, this one felt natural as it dried up quickly and once it is peeled off, it leaves a nice dark-orange pattern on your hand.

Saturday, 10th October

Finally, tonight was the night of the Nikkah, the day when the bride and groom sign the legal document called Nikkah Nama and are declared husband and wife. May Allah bless the newly wedded couple.

Interesting to get a look at the inside of a skull there. How lovely that wedding halls have been able to reopen. Those henna patterns are so pretty and I love the flowers. Congratulations to the newly wedded couple. #project366

I love the wedding flowers photo, they look beautiful! It sounds nice things are going back to some kind of normal with weddings on again. The henna looks interesting and very pretty with the detailing, although now you have mentioned chemicals I think I would be reluctant to give it a try.
