Project 366 2020 – WEEK 39

Bismillah Hir Rahman Ir Raheem

Peace and blessings be upon you all

Sunday, 20th September

50 First Dates was on TV so I watched the initial part of it. I met Ten Second Tom again; he’s quite a funny character who’s short term memory only lasts 10 seconds before his slate is wiped out and he starts again.

Today I tested my blood glucose via a glucometer at college. We were taught how to take a blood sample from a lancet pen device and how the properly insert the slip on which the blood sample will be placed. My blood glucose was 75mg/dl; I’m not diabetic so far.

Behold!!!! I’m not pregnant 😉 just kidding, it’s not my urine, it’s someone’s else’s. Today at college, we were taught how to take a pregnancy test (although not that hard as TV shows and movies have taught us enough) and the mechanics of the test as to how it detects hCG levels in the urine and presents the results on the stick.

Here’s to another moment of buying more books, but this time I’m buying local books to support local artists and really focus on what Pakistani authors can do. This book is written by a blogger in a Pakistani bloggers group on Facebook. However, I have 3 exams coming up so I’ll have to read after them. I’m so excited! I really like the book cover and book mark.

Wednesday, 23rd September

I watched I’m Thinking of Ending Things today as the trailer seemed very interesting and because I recognised the lead actress from the show Chernobyl, and Toni Colette and the actor who played Professor Lupin are actors in this show. It was a very interesting yet mind-boggling film and even now I don’t fully understand what was happening in the movie. Nonetheless, it was well made, the script was amazing and it did radiate many feelings implicitly.

Thursday, 24th September

I watched Enola Holmes today! It was released yesterday and I initially decided it to watch it after my exam on Saturday but then I got bored and I was alone at the house early morning so I decided I’d watch it. It’s an amazing, adorable and fun film about Enola, Sherlock Holmes’ sister, and her adventurous detective endeavors. It was very fun and everyone’s acting was amazing and considering it appears to be a movie for children, it’s not that complicated as for example, the Sherlock series. Do give it a watch!

Friday, 25th September

We had quite a gloomy, windy, cloudy day on one side of the sky and a bright, blue, sunny day on the other. Yet, there was not a single drop of rain.

Saturday, 26th September

I had one out of three of my exams today and it went well Alhamdulillah, although all of my friends said their exam was terrible. Which is strange as half the time I was studying, I was watching an array of movies, such as those mentioned above (Enola Holmes twice). I’m currently on my way back home.

Sounds like the exam went well, I hope the others went just as well. I was looking at Eona Holmes the other day but didn’t watch it. Will have to now as it sounds right up my street. But I only get the TV on a Friday morning to myself so it will have to wait until next week now.

Supporting local artists is such a good thing to do. That book looks like an interesting one and I love the bookmark. Good luck with your exams that are coming up and glad that the first one went well. Enola Holmes is on my list of things to watch at some point. #project366
