Bismillah Hir Rahman Ir Raheem
Peace and blessings be upon you all
I know it’s a bit late but I wish you all a Happy Ramadan Mubarak!! I know the situation is tough due to COVID-19 Lockdown but it’s important that we stay calm, protect our faith, not lose hope and stay strong. Surely, Allah doesn’t test us with what we cannot bear. Our prophets have gone through a variety of trials and tribulations but they never panicked, complained or wallowed in fear, for their trust and faith in Allah was greater than them.
For this Ramadan, although we are apart from each other in our homes, we all are in this together. We may not pray, fast, study the Quran or iftaar together but we’re maintaining distance for the sake of each other and that is part of our duty as caring, responsible Muslims. Let’s not leave our homes unless we have to and for now let’s not go to the Masjids to offer the 5 daily prayers and Taraweeh prayers to prevent spreading the vrius incase we have it as Allah would not prefer that His House be a means of spreading a plague.
Let’s try our best to make this Ramadan as special and fulfilling as those before as may not our current situation deter us from our goals in becoming better Muslims and better people. Let’s continue to fulfill our obligations and responsibilities to work towards becoming better Muslims and better people.
May Allah protect us, forgive our sins and shortcomings, accept our good deeds, repentance and worship in His Name and may He give us strength to get through Ramadan amongst COVID-19 with ease. Ameen
I’ll leave you with this empowering Hadis:
“How wonderful is the situation of a believer! there is good for him in everything and this applies only to a believer. If prosperity befalls him and he expresses gratitude to Allāh, then it will be for his good; and if adversity befalls him and he endures it patiently, it will also be for his good.”
