Project 366 2020 WEEK 2

Bismillah Hir Rahman Ir Raheem

Peace and blessings be upon you all

Sunday, 5th January

I’m continuing on my weight loss regime where I’m trying to bring my BMI to the normal value of 22 (range 18-22). Currently my BMI is 24.7 and I want to reduce my weight to 61kg and stabilise it there. It’s going well so far. I eat between 12-7pm and fast the rest of the day (except on weekends when I have breakfast at 7am) and I try to exercise whenever I can. I’ve stopped having bread and only have two tablespoons of rice a day for its fiber content so my carb intake is low. My dinner is only soup/salad, fruit and nuts. Hence I try to maintain a healthy way of losing weight.

Monday, 6th January

Here’s more of nature’s colours blooming.

Tuesday, 7th January

When my dog scares away the cats. Unfortunately for my dog, they ran up this tree so all she could do was look up and bark at them. Perks of dogs not climbing up trees?

Wednesday, 8th January

I was exhausted from college today yet we had to do some shopping in the city so my day wasn’t over yet. Here’s a view of the Margalla Hills and a strange yet beautiful layer of grey clouds amidst the white clouds, expressing Allah’s beauty without bounds.

Thursday, 9th January

I woke up at around 6:45am so my dog could go out and do its business. Here’s another view of Allah’s beauty through His elegant orange shaded clouds.

Friday, 10th January

I woke up early today and noticed that winter wanted to be embraced by the plant…..and our car windows.

Saturday, 11th January

Alhamdulillah, my weight has decreased further and my BMI decreased to 24. Just two more points to go!

I thought the normal range was up to 25 (it’s what I’ve been counting on as I hover around that point myself). Well done on your weight loss. I’m trying to reduce carbs too as I think that’s where my weight comes from, but I find it difficult to feel full without them.

For South Asia, above 25 indicates obesity but according to Western standards, above 30 indicates obesity. 25 is normal for you.
If you have an issue, try to increase your intake of meat, beans, fruits, vegetables and nuts. Keep a balanced diet but limit your carbs & fats

My BMI is within the healthy range but I feel I need to lose 2-3kg to be truly comfortable with the way I look. Since cutting out carbs (wheat free) I find myself craving more sweet things and haven’t lost any weight, good luck with the healthy eating

Good luck with your diet! For me it’s impossible to give up bread, I love it so much. The cats enjoy teasing dogs. Our neighbour next door has a small dog, and it’s always barking at the cat of the other neighbours who sits on their stone wall, it appears that the cat does it on purpose, as it knows the dog can’t get it. The sky looks beautiful.

I know right!! Cats here do the same thing as well & they’re sitting their so sophisticated and my dog is out of its mind!!
Try baby steps if you want to lose weight. Have half a bread instead of one then take it down. For me, once I realized its oure carbs I decided “I’m not having it”
