Project 365 2019 – WEEK 47

Bismillah Hir Rahman Ir Raheem

Peace and blessings be upon you all

Sunday, 17th November

Coffee. The one thing that fights against my sudden urge to sleep.

Monday, 18th November

I had a great practical exam today Alhamdulillah and my day became better when my excited little Shih Tzu came to pick me from college!!

Tuesday, 19th November

Islamabad Art Festival has started today. It consists of multiple events such as exhibitions, performances, workshops and talks. Many artists from all over the world have come who are presenting their work and are attending the events. This event is being run by Jamal Shah and other members of Pakistan National Council of Art. I’m waiting for my exams to finish so I can attend this event. I’m so excited for this!

Wednesday, 20th November

My last practical exam went well although I messed up big time in a few stations. Inshallah I pass all my theory and practicals as I’m so not in the mood for giving the exams again. My first day of vacations started by me sleeping…then going out for a wholesome family dinner..then sleeping again.

Thursday, 21st November

My friend and I celebrated my friend’s birthday a few days prior to her birthday as alot of us are heading out of city on her birthday. We went to BLT. As compared to most places where some types of dishes are really good and some not so much, this place had great chicken filet, pasta and burgers.

Friday, 22nd November

I went to IAF today. There was alot of mismatch in the schedule which meant one event, a Chinese contemporary dance workshop, was moved to multiplr places before being cancelled.

The best part of today was Turkish Abro Art. This wonderful lady demonstrated this art to us. The paints are natural extracts from special kind of Turkish rocks and the water used is derived from their seawater. If you see it, it looks like jelly. The colours that are showcased on paper, as a result, look so fresh and beautiful. To prove it, I’ll show you my work as she allowed people to try it out:

Saturday, 23rd November

The next day I checked out the exhibitions which were very beautifully expressive. Here is one work that fits that criteria.

Your dog is so cute!

Glad your final practical went ok. In sha Allah you have done well in all your exams!

The art festival looks interesting. Love that the paints are natural.

Glad to hear the exam went well, even if you think you didn’t do that well on some stations. Abro art from rocks and sea water looks colourful and definitely sounds unusual. I know that in Renaissance they often used pigments from minerals and rocks for frescoes, but never heard of the use of sea water.
Your dog is very cute.
