Project 365 2019 – WEEK 41

Bismillah Hir Rahman Ir Raheem

Peace and blessing be upon you all

Sunday, 6th October

I’m preparing for my cardiovascular system module exam tomorrow. Hopefully it turns out great. This is a picture of an echocardiogram of the heart shows mitral (bicuspid) valve regurgitation where instead of closing, ths valve pushes back into the atrium so blood flows back from the ventricle into the atrium which is not supposed to happen.

Monday, 7th October

My module exam went great Alhamdulillah. It was also the last day of first year MBBS today so we all took a batch photo in front of the building. After that, my friend and I raced to the cinema to watch Joker. So many reviews, pictures and quotes were popping up about Joker that I got so motivated to watch it ASAP. Yesterday, I told my friend, “I can’t wait for the weekend, let’s watch it.” She agreed and we watched it together.

It is truly an amazing movie, with a thought-provoking storyline, skilled cinematography and outstanding acting by Joaquin Phoenix. Do watch it, if you haven’t yet! I’ve written a review of Joker in another blog post.

Tuesday, 8th October

When we watched the movie, I bought four Cinnabon roles from the mall. I especially love the pecan flavoured roll.

Wednesday, 9th October

I wasn’t able to take a picture today as I was practicing for my practical exam on Thursday so I posted a picture I took on Monday in the mall. The walls have gotten a sense of humour.

Thursday, 10th October

Today I had a practical exam which I’m not sure how it went. Some practical stations were easy and the rest were either bad or I don’t know so I’m confused as to what my progress is. Practical exams tend to stress me out and make silly mistakes because you spend 4 minutes in each station and you have to be quick yet do and say the right things. Inshallah I’ll pass.

Tomorrow, I’m going to get my blood test done. My father has Thalassemia minor so he wanted to check if I have it too. Inshallah I won’t have it.

Friday, 11th October

I gave my blood sample today and the results will come on Monday. I took my dog out for a walk in the park then I was dropped out at my friend’s house with who I was supposed to go hiking with. Before that, we celebrated a friend’s surprise birthday at Jade restaurant. We talked about how our practical exams went, what will face in the three weeks of preparing for proff breaks, the birthday girl, food and Joker,..and basically life.

I ordered a honey mustard chicken. It tasted good but it felt like it needed more. The chicken was crispy but it needed some more flavour, and the honey mustard sauce was literally just honey mustard

Ahh! I knew that was a photo of an echocardiogram before I even read it. My girls have heart problems. They had holes in their hearts and when they were repaired they were left with valve regurgitation.
I’m glad the module exam went well, so sorry about the practical one. Good luck! x

Love the photo of your dog! I’m glad the written exam went well and I hope the practical exam went better than you think it did! I hope the results of your blood test come back clear. I’m glad you enjoyed The Joker. I’ve heard a lot of good things about it, so will probably go to see it soon.

Glad your first exam went well and in sha Allah you passed the practical. Heard mixed reviews about the Joker….not sure I will watch it.

Hope your blood test results come back clear

So glad to read that the module exam went well, big well done! I haven’t been to a cinema for a grown-up film in over 17 years. I only go to the movies with my younger son. Hope your blood tests are fine.
That cinnabon bun looks very tasty.
