PROJECT 365 2019 – WEEK 36

Bismillah Hir Rahman Ir Raheem

Sunday, 1st September

I didn’t take this picture but my sibling went on a college trip to Fairy Meadows in Northern Areas and sent pictures of her trip. Among the many pictures she sent, I was in awe of this one picture that had me amazed and made me think, “I NEED TO GO THERE!”

Monday, 2nd September

After college, I had a sudden craving for a sweet but not too sweet snack. A packet of delicious chocolate chips cookies by Preak Freans was perfect for my taste buds. If you notice, the logo of the company is of The Pied Piper, the man in a tale who used his pipe to rid off rats from a town. When he wasn’t given his payment, he used his pipe to muse the children of the town with his tunes and kidnapped them.

I’m not sure how this relates to biscuits and cookies but there you go.

When your dog is craving for a banana.

Wednesday, 4th September

Today, I learnt how to hear heart sounds. It was so exciting and interesting to know where you can auscultate heart sounds on four different parts of the chest and the cause of those sounds.

However, I wasn’t able to hear the main heart sound on a man the instructors allowed us to practice on. I tend to be a bit stressed out when I take my pulse and measure someone’s else’s pulse and heart beat as I hear my own heart beat instead….which is quite loud. I have to hold my breath to hear their pulse and heart beat.

On the bright side, I practiced it on my friend and I could hear her heart sounds, so YEAH!!

Thursday, 5th September

My college has a very comfortable library that helps me concentrate on my studies more as compared to studying at my home. It’s very elegantly designed, there are different styles and arrangements of tables and chairs and there are hundreds of books related to medicine that I have yet to read.

Friday, 6th September

At night, a function was organised in Rawalpindi on Defence Day or Martyrs’ Day, which was aired in our local news channels. It was well arranged and included interviewing the martyrs’ families. In a press conference recently, a spokesperson of the army (an army officer) requested that we visit the families of the martyrs to support them and let them know their country is with them.

I think that is a great gesture for martyrs’ families anywhere around the world.

Saturday, 7th September

My weekend ice cream cravings have become delightfully satisfied. Although they didn’t have Salted Caramel, their Caramel Truffle and Praline & Cream tasted great.

That is a beautiful photo by your sister, I can see why you would want to visit! It must have been very exciting to be able to listen to your friend’s heart and know that you’d got it right. I wouldn’t have thought it would be possible to hear your own heart instead!
