I’m studying Respiratory System in college nowadays and we were given a case related to a patient who had multiple rib fractures. Here’s some information about rib fractures that I used to understand it.

This is a histological (microstructure) drawing of a cross-section of the lungs, showing its bronchi, bronchioles and alveoli. In college, we view the slides under a microscope before drawing them in our histo notebooks.
Tuesday, 6th August
We had a long break between classes so my friends and I decided to go to Safa Gold Mall in F-7 Markaz. Unfortunately, the food court was closed so we went to Second Cup. Their berry shake and white moccha were delicious and their New York cheesecake was so creamy, smooth and delicious. In addition, the interior was quite funky yet elegant.
Wednesday, 7th August
Here’s my regular dinner: cooked rice with beef in a gravy, yellow daal, potatoes, green peas and carrots.
Thursday, 8th August
If you want a wholesome Chinese meal in a bowl, Ginyaki is the place for you. I went today here with my friends and their food was amazing as always. I ordered Chicken with Cashew nuts in chowmien.
Friday, 9th August
Today, we were taught how to use a spirometer. A spirometer is used to measure the volume of air inhaled and exhaled, at rest and at forced breathing. There’s a largw container placed with water inside in which lies a container containing atmospheric air at 5L. On the right, there’s a small plastic container attached to the pipe containing some pink beads of calcium carbonate (to absorb CO2).
On the drum on the left side, graph paper is wrapped around and a rod containing a type of ink pen is brought close to it. So when you breathe through the mouthpiece, the air container moves up and down, causing the pen to move up and down, drawing a wave of varying amplitude.
