Project 365 2019 – WEEK 25

Bismillah Hir Rahman Ir Raheem

Peace and blessings be upon you all

This week was a relatively less busier week as compared to last week. Nonetheless, I did a lot.

Sunday, 16th June

My pet shih tzu is a strange dog in my opinion. Among her habits of ripping paper and tissues to shreds, rolling over the grass three times when she sees it, and biting everyone’s slippers; another habit of hers is to stuff her head in the corner of the couch. She often hides her food there and returns hours later to eat it.

Monday, 17th June

Matches of ICC World Cup are on a roll, one after the other. Today was a match between Bangladesh and West Indies. I don’t follow cricket because it gets really long and boring. But in this match, you could see the effort Bangladesh put in by winning with a score of 322/3 with 51 balls still left!

Tuesday, 18th June

I took a picture of a quote from Forty Rules of Love which really struck me and made me decide to plan to write a blog post about, i.e how every single action of ours can cause a domino effect on others in ways we cannot perceive. I have a general idea of what to write. I hope it turns out good.

Wednesday, 19th June

I met an old close friend of mine who I’ve known for about 9 years. She moves alot like I used to before Baba retired so I hadn’t seen her in a few years. It feels great to meet a close friend after so long and talk about everything yet not everything within the limited time. She keeps rabbits and of course me being an animal lover, I got really excited to see them.

Thursday, 20th June

Today, I went to Islamabad Club to watch the remake of Aladdin with a few college friends. It was a really good movie! The actors were great, the jokes were amazing, Will Smith was hilarious as Genie and the songs really gave me chills, both remakes of previous songs and the original ones. Then we had cold coffee. I always love a good cold coffee.

However, I, a non-member, was annoyed as my friends paid for me, being members, and didn’t let me. It was very kind of them & I’ll have to find a way to pay them back.

Friday, 21st June

F-9 Park in Islamabad is like Central Park in New York City (not in specifics, just in a large patch of green surrounded by city infrastructure).

Despite living in Islamabad for a couple of years, I never really went all over the park. I entered from different gates for different occasions like dog shows, car shows, to play laser tag at MegaZone, social work activities, attend TEDxIslamabadSalon at Awain-e-Quaid, or just to find an open space to fly floating lanterns. But I didn’t go deep into the park.

Today I did with my family and dog. It’s very vast with wide open spaces covered by a large sheet of velvetty grass and footpaths, roads and jogging tracks. Trees and variable shapes of elegant, brown rocks. It’s a wonderful place to play cricket and football, walk, ride a bike or even just lay on the grass and read a book. We walked for hours with our dog, who seemed tired yet excited at the same time.

Saturday, 22nd June

This fell from a tree in F-9 Park. I took it with me as it seemed interesting. It was fascinating how it was divided into compartments and each compartment had seeds in them. So many seeds in one!

hehehe! Your pet shih tzu does sound like a funny little creature.
My dad has been watching the cricket non-stop lately. He’s a fan of it. I find it a bit boring too.
I am really wanting to see the new Aladdin film. I do like Will Smith. That coffee looks so good. x

How lovely to catch up with your old friend! The park looks like a lovely place for a walk or run. I went to see Aladdin last week and really enjoyed it.
I’d be worried about accidentally sitting on some of the dog’s food she had left on the sofa for later!

I have never tried cold coffee, I am not a fan of the hot variety so I wonder if the cold version would be more pleasing for me? Love the sound of your dog and so nice to be able to catch up with old friends
