Bismillah Hir Rahman Ir Raheem
Hey, everyone!! Peace be upon you all. Hope you all had a great week! Here’s how my week went
Sunday, 17th March
PSL, Pakistan Sports League, has been wrapped up in the closing ceremony and the final match between Peshawar Zalmis and Quetta Gladiators. The performances were alright. The singer above is a popular singer, Abrar ul Haq.
The match was alright. I don’t watch Cricket often but I could tell that Peshawar Zalmis became a bit clumsy during battle that caused them to lose the title. Darren Sammy cried afterwards on the field, which really showed how passionate people can be for sports which is admirable.

In life, one should stop and smell the flowers around them.
Tuesday, 19th March
Prevention is better than cure. This type of mask is best to use to prevent catching an infection, even better than a surgical mask. A bit of awareness doesn’t hurt š.
Wednesday, 20th March
Today was my last day of college for this week and Thursday and Friday are off due to road blocks for preparation of the Pakistan Day Parade that happens annually on 23rd March. Baba applied for our invitation to it and preparations have been taking place for weeks so I’m really excited and hope we get the invitation.
I went out with my family to a restaurant in G-9 called Shinwari where I had some really delicious lamb chops.
Thursday, 21st March
I don’t know how but laptop companies like Lenovo and Microsoft have such beautiful pictures on the background. I couldn’t help but take a picture of one of them.
Friday, 22nd March
Practices for the parade are underway. I live near an old airport where fighter planes take off and flow over my house many times a day. Having lived as an Air Force brat for years, I absolutely love the sound of thunder as planes fly close to me and they look so great when they fly across the sky in a variety of manouevres.
The parade will take place on 23rd March. It is an important date as on this date in 1940, the resolution was passed by All India Muslim League that a separate state must be made for Muslims in the subcontinent at all costs. Without their hardwork, we would not have achieved our motherland, Pakistan.
I’m so excited for the event!
Saturday, 23rd March
Unfortunately, the invitation was received yesterday night for my parents only. I watched the parade on television and it was amazing to see, but it’s a completely different spectacle when you’re up close.
There were displays of our artillery, a walk pass of our armed forces, a fly pass and acorbatic movements of our fighter planes, China fighter plans and a Solo Turk fighter plane, and display of floats for all the provinces of Pakistan (Azad Jammu & Kashmir, Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit Baltistan, Punjab, Sindh) the floats looked great, especially Punjab, Sindh & KPK’s floats.
There were also paratroopers that sky-dived and landed at the parade ground while performing acrobats in the sky. These paratroopers were from Pakistan, Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia and Sri Lanka.
The Malaysian Prime Minister, Mahatir Mohammed also came, and when a paratrooper came to present the Pakistan flag, he kissed the flag after our Prime Minister Imran Khan kissed the flag (which was pretty sweet and cute).
On the dias, the people seated were our armed forces chiefs’ and one of Saudi Arabia and Bahrain (if I’m correct), Pakistani and Malaysian Prime Minister, and our President Arif Alvi who seemed like the only person who was smiling, saluting, waving and acknowledging what was happening at the parade.

Sorry to hear you didn’t get to the parade yourself, I hope your parents enjoyed it. It looks like the planes and parachutes were spectacular!

You certainly can’t beat the energy that is created at a live event. So totally understand your frustration not being able to go. #365

I hope your parents enjoyed the event. Hopefully you will get tickets next year. I agree sometimes you do need to smell the flowers.
