Project 365 2019 – WEEK 1

Bismillah Hir Rahman Ir Raheem

Hey, bloggers! This is my first try on blogging as part of a project. Although it will be hard as medical college classes will start by mid of January and that will get pretty hectic, I’ll try my best to post a blog of this project every week as an attempt in this new year to keep my blog as alive as possible. I’ll post a picture of everyday this year in weekly posts. So here’s how my week went:

I was returning home yesterday at 4th January when I saw these beautiful doves sitting on my gate. The picture is a bit pale but the subtle colours on the bird were quite fascinating to see. After seeing alot of crows outside, this was quite a pleasant sight to see.

The shivering, trembling cold tend to take away colour from our surroundings. But some flowers still fight hard to bloom with all the brilliance they have. Here is a picture of one of the batches of flowers hanging from my garage roof. Their colour shined boldly from the dull surrounding.

Here’s a view from my terrace. It rained then so although days are very cold, the rain unleashed drops of ice that day. Beyond the fence lies the airport. The thunder raging from the engines of the aircrafts always tends to soothe me. You can see the flowers here too.

Now the days of come when the stash of socks you kept safe for the winter go off to hibernation at the opportune time. So I have to suck it up and stick to my little Puma socks. Why is it that the feet and nose become more cold than the rest of the body?

Winter is the best time to curl up near the heater and read a nice book. I completed Alchemist (and finally understood it after having read \it the third time) and now I want to go in detail through my reference course book in A-Levels, because I find psychology interestingly complex and helpful in learning about myself and others.

I was insisted upon to make a chicken pie, and pie’s are a tasty, warm and wholesome dish to have so I tried it out. Turned out to be good, although I may have baked it a couple of minutes longer than needed so the crust turned out to be quite hard and dry. Any tips on making a great pie?

Atleast the filling looked great!

So that’s a few shots of how my first week of 2019 went. How was yours? Let me know in the comments.

The medical course sounds interesting although I know everything can be such a juggle can’t it. This is my first week too and I am hoping to stick all year… its such a nice visual record. I read the Alchemist a long time a go and didn’t get it – maybe its time to revisit? Happy New Year

Everyone is telling me its a juggle. But i want to write. Maybe i could combine writing with my career in the future 😊
Good luck to u! If u share the link on the facebook group, i’ll try to check ur posts out.
Same. I thought initially that this is too philosophical and dramatic to my taste. But reading it now, it makes alot of sense. It explains life in a poetic way which i understand now after living life myself. Do revisit. Happy new year to u as well 😁

Welcome to the project, it’s good to have you on board!
I’m not much of a cook, but I think your pie looks very good. Look forward to following more of your life over the next few weeks and months.
